"Latin Fury" Luis Ortiz vs John Walters

Main Event time, hype time, match of the year candidate time. If your any kind of New England wrestling fan, you know exactly what I'm talking about as Latin Fury Luis Ortiz takes on the CW Heavyweight Champion Hurricane John Walters. I think the majority of this unusually large and vocal crowd was in attendance specifically for this match. The environment was similar to the last ROH show, as the crowd cheered and yelled throughout the match with a huge following for Ortiz.

The match ran nearly 30 minutes with a tremendous back and forth chain exchange between the two to start things out. Innovation was the tone of this match with impressive and unconventional submission maneuvers flowing together into a smooth exchange. The match then took a slightly less artistic turn as the two battled outside of the ring and Ortiz tossed Walters across the merchandise table into the wall. The fight returned to the ring where things turned into a more traditional match with a great off the ropes exchange where Ortiz duped Walters a number of times. Ortiz was able to hit Walters with his running Spicoli (death valley) driver but Walters kicked out. Conversely, Walters hit Ortiz with the Gory driver for a near three count. After a short exchange, Ortiz flipped Walters back over his shoulders and hit the second driver for the victory, the CW championship, and the potential of a match of the year.

After the match, Walters got into a heated exchange with guest referee Tom Prichard, which resulted in Walters laying the WWE staff member out.
